INSTALL NOTES VERSION 3.6 (CD-ROM)

PRINT THE DIRECTIONS

You are advised to print the following definitions, directions and instructions, to have them at hand when you are using this interactive database the first times. If anything is not clear, please give us your comments by

-Put the CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive (If you have two CD-ROM drives use the primary drive)

-Wait for the Install program to start (If it does not start automatically, open your "windows explorer", go to the CD-ROM drive and double-click on "startsetup.exe".)

-The Where or When Installation Serial Inputbox will appear.

-Enter your personal serial number.(Your serial number is on a sticker inside the CD-ROM case.)

Click on "OK".

Enter your name and click on "OK".

-If you have entered a wrong serial number you will see a pop-up box stating this, click on "OK" to continue.
-If this is the case click on "Install version 3.6" and the installation will be started from the beginning again.

-If you have entered the correct serial number you will see a pop-up box stating this, click on "OK" to continue.

-The Welcom screen of the Install Shield Wizard of "Where or When 3.6" will start

- Follow the instructions

- Click on "Next".

-The Readme information is shown, read them.

- Click on "Next".

-The Installation information is shown, stating where the Where or When 3.6 Discography files will be installed.(c:\xampp)
-Although this is not shown, the Chronology files will be stored at c:\marcucci.

-Never delete these two directories,if you do so Where or When will not work anymore.

- Click on "Next".

-- The Install Shield Wizard of "Where or When 3.6" will start installing.

-The "Setup Completed" text will appear.

- In the "Restart the computer" area of this screen there are two options.
----- Yes, i want to restart my computer now
and
----- No, i will restart my computer later

-"Remove the CD-ROM from your CD-ROM drive.

Leave the first option checked and click on "Finish"

-The computer will reboot

-If your computer requests a password after rebooting, enter your password.



Click on Start. Choose "Programs" or All Programms depending on your operating system.

Click on WhereorWhen 3.6 (it appears on your list of shortcuts)

Click on Start WhereorWhen 3.6 (it appears on your list of shortcuts)

OR

Double click on the Where or When 3.6 icon on your desktop

The Where or When Start-up screen will appear. Click on "Setup"

Your computer will now start your default Internet Browser Program.You need this program, i.e. Microsoft Internet Explorer© or Netscape Navigator© .

If the browser screen is not maximized, maximize it.

Read the text ("INTRODUCTION") completely and click on "CONTINUE".

Follow the instructions and then close by clicking on the "x".

The Where or When Start-up screen will again appear and you may now select to enter the Chronology section or the Discography section.
